Introduction

The M.A. Psychology program at Smt. Indira Gandhi College is a two-year postgraduate degree designed to develop scientific understanding of human behavior, mental processes, and socio-emotional functioning.

The curriculum integrates core areas such as Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical and Counseling Psychology, and Research Methodology, with a focus on both theoretical comprehension and applied practice.

Students gain exposure to laboratory-based experiments, fieldwork, case studies, and internships, preparing them for careers in clinical, academic, counseling, and research domains.
