Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Ancient Indian History, Archaeology & Culture

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Ancient Indian History, Archaeology & Culture is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of India's ancient civilizations, political developments, cultural traditions, religious philosophies, archaeological heritage, art and architecture. The programme explores the evolution of Indian society from the Indus-Saraswati Civilization to the early medieval period while introducing students to archaeological methods, epigraphy, palaeography and numismatics.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Ancient Indian History, Archaeology & Culture must fulfill the following eligibility requirements prescribed by the college and affiliating university.

Minimum Eligibility

  • ✓ Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
  • ✓ Students from any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce) are eligible to apply, subject to university norms.
  • ✓ Admission shall be granted as per the rules and regulations of the affiliating university and the Government.
  • ✓ Reservation and relaxation in eligibility, if applicable, shall be provided according to Government and University guidelines.
