The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a two-year professional teacher education programme designed to prepare competent, reflective and socially responsible educators for upper primary, secondary and senior secondary levels. Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences or Humanities with at least 50% marks.
  • Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. degree in Science and Mathematics specialization with at least 55% marks are also eligible.
  • Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS categories shall be as per Government norms.
  • Admission is granted through the prescribed entrance examination and university admission process.

Attendance Requirements

  • Students must maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the University and NCTE regulations.
  • Participation in lectures, tutorials, practicum activities and school-based engagements is mandatory.
  • Attendance requirements must be fulfilled to appear in examinations and internship activities.

Assessment & Evaluation

  • Assessment includes internal evaluation, practical work, assignments and end-semester examinations.
  • Teaching practice, lesson planning, reflective journals and practicum activities form an essential part of evaluation.
  • Students must successfully complete all theory and practical components as prescribed by the University.

School Internship & Practicum

  • Completion of school internship and teaching practice is mandatory for programme completion.
  • Students are required to participate in classroom observation, lesson delivery and school-based activities.
  • Professional conduct, punctuality and ethical behaviour are expected during internship and field engagement.
