Programme Overview

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Urdu is a postgraduate programme designed to provide advanced knowledge of Urdu language, literature, criticism, literary movements, poetry, prose, cultural studies and research methodology. The programme enables students to explore the rich literary heritage of Urdu while developing analytical, linguistic and research skills.

The curriculum includes the study of Urdu criticism, literary movements, classical and modern poetry, prose literature, prominent literary personalities, comparative literature and research-oriented projects.
